Carlos first got in to racing when he bought himself a road bike (CBR 600) in 2004. After acquiring the basic skills in the lower class divisions with various track instructors at the OTRE (On Track Riding Experience) school.

Carlos was then given the oppotunity to race with a company sponsored bike the Ducati 999s. With in two months of breaking in the new bike, Carlos then started his official race career entering into his first Regional race at Phakisa in September of 2006.

Under the guidence of his racing team mate Clinton Pienaar, Carlos has come in leaps and bounds making sure that he finished with in the top 6 finishes.

Carlos current bike is the Ducati 1098R, world famous for being a limited edition and the cream of crop of Ducati's fantastic bikes.
